An interesting and unique piece created using a variety of techniques and products illustrating the versatile uses of glass as a medium and several firing processes in my kiln

Glass powder has been recycled as a bi-product from my cutting process using a Taurus cutting saw. This powder was then dried, sieved and mixed with a glass moulding compound, cut into shapes and tack fused. These were then decorated with green hues of glass enamels paints using the enamel pour method. The glass pieces were then added to a vanilla sheet of bullseye glass with additional green accessory glass (frits and powders) and finally added to a larger clear tekta sheet and contour fused in my kiln.

The finished piece is set in a black powder coated steel stand.

First exhibited at Shafestbury Art Centre on the @#circleslandscapesandfusions 2024.
