Inspired by my love of the sea and geology
I love being so close to the Jurassic Coast.
This piece was created using a large sheet of clear tekta glass (measuring 30 x 30cm) was decorated with layers of aventurine blue, turquoise and cobalt blue glass powders. Small copper fish were added as metal inclusions.
A second sheet of tekta was placed over the top and white enamel paint was screenprinted with an ammonite design. The piece was fully fused and is set on a black powder coated stand.
"Ancient One" was first exhibited at Shafestbury Art Centre on the @#circleslandscapesandfusions 2024.
