My unique version of the "Veasta", a medieval sea monster first recorded in 1457 off the coast of Portland. Appearing after storms from 1500s through to 1700s, often with shipwrecks. Mysterious and elusive the Veasta was a fearsome creature.
Layers of glass powders, frits and other accessory glass with 24 carat gold lustre detail ✨️ contour fused in my kiln and set in an oak stand.
A truly beautiful piece of local medieval history for your own home.
